7 Shows & Movies Added To Netflix In 2020 That Were Filmed In Canada

Netflix loves Canada! ❤️
Netflix Originals Filmed In Canada

New year, new Netflix! We’re already two months into 2020, but there have already been a solid collection of Netflix originals filmed in Canada that have been added to the streaming service over the past few weeks. The next time you find yourself in search of something to watch, be sure to support the Canadian film industry by checking out something on this list.

Many shows will pretend that they're set in the United States when in reality, they're actually being filmed in the beautiful country of Canada. The new Netflix original Locke & Key is a great example of this—the show is set in Massachusetts, but filming was actually done in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and Toronto, Ontario.

On the other side of the country, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina takes place in the fictional city of Greendale, when in reality, production for the hit teen series takes place in Vancouver.

With so many shows and movies to choose from on Netflix, it can be a struggle to decide what to watch. If you're feeling particularly stumped, just remember that a touch of Canada (even if you don't realize it) can make what you're watching that much better. As a plus, some of these projects even include seriously talented Canadian actors!
