Netflix Originals Releasing This Spring

There's so much to see! April has only just begun, but there's no time like the present to pick out which of the Netflix originals releasing this spring that you'll be adding to your watch list.

When it comes to streaming websites, there's no shortage of subscriptions that you can sign up for, but as far as offering original content goes, Netflix may just take the cake. Over the years the app has released hundreds of unique shows and movies for people from all walks of life. We've seen political dramas, hilarious comedies, chilling documentaries, and everything in between.

Although springtime urges you to come out of hibernation and into the outdoors, there are always some rainy days to come that will have you wanting to do nothing but curl up in bed and relax. When those days come, you'll likely need something new to watch on Netflix, which is exactly where this list comes in.

Over the next two months, there's plenty to look forward to, including teen dramas about buried treasure, and a new project from Steve Carrell that may just remind you of The Office. Mark your calendar, and get ready for a season full of streaming!

Love Wedding Repeat

Love Wedding Repeat is a romantic comedy film coming to Netflix on April 10. The movie takes place during a wedding as Jack, who is the brother of the bride, attempts to balance keeping his sister happy, an angry ex-girlfriend, a current crush, and much more drama.

Brews Brothers

Also coming on April 10 is Brews Brothers, a comedy about two rival brothers who find themselves being forced to work together in order to keep their brewery afloat.

Outer Banks

Outer Banks is set to be released on April 15. The series is a teen drama, following a group of teenagers from a troubled neighbourhood who come across a mysterious treasure map that unearths a long-buried secret.


On April 17, Netflix users will be able to enjoy #blackAF, a new mockumentary series from the creators of Black-ish. The show is a fictionalized look into the life of Kenya Barris (who will play himself) and his family as they navigate their newfound status and wealth.


A trailer for Extraction has yet to be released, but the Chris Hemsworth film is coming to the streaming service on April 24. The action movie is about Tyler Rake, a mercenary who finds himself on a deadly mission to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international drug lord.


Hollywood comes from the mind of the man who brought us American Horror Story, Glee, and The Politician: Ryan Murphy. This upcoming limited series will be released on May 1. It takes place in the post-World War II era, as a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers try to make it big.

The Eddy

Set to release on May 8, The Eddy is a mini-series that tells the story of a French club owner as he deals with the trials and tribulations of owning a busy venue in the heart of Paris.

Space Force

Last, but certainly not least, is the highly anticipated series created by Steve Carrell, Space Force. The show is set to hit Netflix on May 31 and will be a comedic tale about the creation of the "sixth branch of the armed services."
