Schitt's Creek

Although Schitt's Creek has slowly been growing its audience over their last few seasons, this show definitely should be held at the same standard as Big Bang Theory or Friends.
The small Canadian production stars Eugene Levy, Dan Levy, Catherine O'Hara, and Annie Murphy. Schitt's Creek follows a once-wealthy family becoming bankrupt and having to move to the one property they managed to keep, a run-down town called Schitt's Creek that was bought as a joke.

Sense 8

Sense 8 traveled a bumpy road during its production and life on Netflix. The show only managed to get 2 seasons before getting canceled. However, fans rallied together to get an extended episode that gave them the ending the show deserved.

Workin' Moms

Workin' Moms is another Canadian TV show that is filmed in Toronto. Because the film industry is smaller in Hollywood north, a lot of Canadian productions get lost behind the advertising of shows like Stranger Things.
The Netflix synopsis for this comedy is, "Maternity leave is over and it's time for these four moms to return to work while navigating kids, bosses, love, and life in modern-day Toronto."

The End of The F***ing World is a British show that made it's onto Netflix Canada and more people need to watch this show ASAP. While you do have to appreciate British humor to view the show as the comedy it is, everything about this show is brilliant.
It follows a teenager named James who believes he's a psychopath. In order to test this theory, he decides he needs to actually kill someone and sets his eyes on an irritating teen named Alyssa. The two embark on a journey together that takes insane twists and turns.

One Day at a Time may be the most underrated show on this list. Just like Sense 8, One Day at a Time had a tough run on the platform. The show was recently canceled after 3 seasons. Thanks to the petitioning of fans, the comedy was picked up by another network for a season 4.
One Day at a Time follows a Cuban-American family, the Alvarez's, as they navigate life in California. It stars, Rita Moreno, Justina Machado, Isabella Gomez, Marcel Ruiz, and Todd Grinnell.
On My Block

Although On My Block is described as a Teen Drama, the show can be enjoyed by everyone. The shows two seasons aren't afraid to touch upon controversial topics and show us what's really happening behind the white picket fence life America promotes.
