It's no secret that the Netflix original series Outer Banks has taken over everyone's TVs. This week, the show hit #1 on Netflix, and for great reasons. All ages can enjoy and appreciate this show and somehow it just drags viewers in and they can't stop watching it. Between the eye-catching heartthrob John B and the adventurous lifestyle of the Pogues, there are many aspects of the show that have made the world obsessed. 

Here are 7 Outer Banks locations in Charleston you'll want to put on your adventure bucket list. 

Kildare County Sheriff’s Station

Price: Free

Address: 218 Venning St., Mt. Pleasant, SC

Why You Need To Go: The station is actually just a building full of condos, but the entire Old Village is worth seeing. Visitors can find little shops and restaurants that can be seen throughout the B-roll of the show.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island

Price: Free

Address: 1000 Ocean Course Dr., Kiawah Island, SC

Why You Need To Go: This is where you can find the Kooks hanging out most of the time. It's also where the Midsommer party is and where the Pogues cause havoc. It's really a beautiful golf club in SC that visitors can dine-in and explore.

Dunes West Golf & River Club


Address: 3535 Wando Plantation Way, Mt. Pleasant, SC

Why You Need To Go: This is where the Pogues and Kooks went to watch the OBX Summer Movie Series. This spot is in a private community, but anyone can make reservations to eat at The Grille Room which will give access to the club.

Morris Island Lighthouse

Price: $47 for a tour

Address: 1750 E Ashley Ave, Folly Beach, SC

Why You Need To Go: This lighthouse is the Redfield Lighthouse that is seen throughout the show. It's apart of the National Register of Historic Places and there are tours that'll take visitors out to the lighthouse.

Washington Square Park

Price: Free

Address: 80 Broad St, Charleston, SC

Why You Need To Go: John B and Sarah head straight to this park when they get off the ferry on their little adventure. Visitors can take a stroll through the park and it's located conveniently in Downtown Charleston.

Ben Silver

Price: Free to visit

Address: 149 King St., Charleston, SC

Why You Need To Go: Ben Silver is the shop John B gets his makeover at (hubba hubba). The business hosted Netflix for filming over the summer of 2019, which they say took about 12 hours to complete.*

The Wreck of the Richard & Charlene

Price: 💸💸

Address: 106 Haddrell St., Mt. Pleasant, SC

Why You Need To Go: This is the restaurant that Kiara's parents own and it's actually a real place on the island. It's a cute little seafood restaurant that'll make visitors feel like they're in the show.
