Ted-Jan Bloeman just set an incredible Olympic record for Canada. The long-track speedskater won Canada's first ever gold in the men's 10,000 metres. The Olympian moved to Canada from the Netherlands four years ago to compete for Canada in the Olympics.

Bloeman recently appeared in the Olympic arena, only beginning his record-breaking a few years ago. After Bloeman moved to Canada, he quickly began competing for Canada in international competitions. At Pyeongchang, he has won two medals thus far, gold in the men's 10,000 metres and silver in the men's 5000 metres.
