When we’re choosing what school to attend for out post-secondary education we all want to make sure that we’re getting a high quality experience for the amount of money we pay.
Not all universities are created equal though, some quite simply are better than others in this country.
And according to a new world ranking, 3 Canadian universities are in the top 50, and they’re even higher on the list now than they were last year.
The University of Toronto, The University of British Columbia and McGill University have all cracked the top 50 in the world.
All of these schools were also on the list last year, but this year every single one of them has moved up a few spots.
McGill university ranks the lowest of the three in Canada, coming in at 41 overall worldwide. That’s up a place from last year though when it finished 42nd on the list.
The University of British Columbia did better, coming in at 38th overall in the world, which is up a few places from where it finished last year at 40th.
That, of course, means that the University of Toronto took the top place in the ranking.
The school finished just outside of the top 20 in the world, coming in at 22nd overall.
But the school can be pleased that it finished better than it did last year when it came 24th.
