With midterm season comes very desperate students, but one student from the University of Manitoba definitely takes the cake for the most insane attempt to get out of an exam. The average student might try to fake the flu or if you are really desperate, try to cheat, but this student clearly was having none of those subpar options (especially not just studying beforehand like most people). Go big or go home... right?
It all started when a University of Manitoba student posted about receiving an email from her professor that the midterm exam scheduled for tomorrow was actually canceled, sounds legit right?
Never underestimate what a university student would do to get out of an exam lmao 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/qVrK1PE6IZ— Aleli Miranda (@tigerleli) February 13, 2018
Not too long after the same student and her fellow classmates got another email from the actual professor claiming somebody was trying to pose as him- but yes, the midterm definitely was still scheduled for tomorrow. It turns out the student (who acted and still remains anonymous) used a proxy to send the email as the professor.
While we don't know if the student was dumb enough to send the email to the entire class list including the professor himself or if students contacted the professor about the cancellation, this definitely is one of the more extreme ways we've heard of a student trying to get out of an exam! By the sounds of the professor it looks like if he ever finds out who the student really is, they probably won't be passing the class.
