Getting away for March Break is meant to be a relaxing experience where you leave the cold weather of the great white north behind for some faraway sandy beach with lots of sunshine.
Unfortunately air travel is rarely, if ever, without it's hassles. From checkin lineups, to super long security lines and screaming children you can find yourself feeling incredibly stressed when you haven't even boarded the plane yet.
And this years March Break just got even more stressful for those flying with Air Canada. According to reports from multiple airports, including Toronto and Calgary, Air Canada is currently experiencing a network outage nationwide with its computer system across the country.
This means you have to check in manually and it's causing huge delays at airports.
According to the airlines' website it is also impossible for people to book a flight right now, so if you were hoping to find some last minute deal with Air Canada you're out of luck.
There's currently no word on when this issue will be fixed. In a tweet the airline released just after noon the company said it is currently working on fixing the problem as quickly as possible.
We're currently experiencing an interruption at our customer Contact Centres and https://t.co/9y0kvWG2OP. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working towards restoring our service as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.— Air Canada (@AirCanada) March 12, 2018
