Yesterday, we reported on the tragic shooting that took place at YouTube's California headquarters. The shooter, identified as 39-year-old Nasim Aghdam, injured three people before killing herself at the scene.
Details have since been released about Aghdam, including her strange YouTube channels and angry online rants about the company. Her channels included videos about vegan bodybuilding, animal rights and musical parodies.
Her social media accounts were filled with posts about her beef with the Google owned company YouTube, including putting age restrictions on her videos. In one post, Aghdam claims that "Youtube filtered my channels to keep them from getting views!"
Aghdam's father Ismail said that she hadn't answered her phone for two days before the shooting. He'd reported her missing, and received a call from the police on Tuesday at 2:00 AM saying she'd been sleeping in her car.
He said he warned the police that his daughter "hated" YouTube and might be headed to their main office, where the shooting took place.
Local police are still in the process of investigating a motive. They stated that, "at this time there is no evidence that the shooter knew the victims of this shooting or that individuals were specifically targeted."
