Everyone's had a moment when they've almost gotten themselves into a messy accident but has miraculously managed to get out of it. Unfortunately, for one Alberta driver, his slip up was so extreme that it didn't matter whether he slammed on the breaks or swerved out of the way. Especially considering his car was too busy flying off the side of a building for his response to matter.
No, you did not read that wrong. A 63-year-old man from Alberta had been driving his Mazda 2 when he lost control in a parking lot over in Atlanta, Georgia. As a result, his car did what we can only describe as a mid-air somersault down to the lower level below. With regard to when the whole thing happened, a concrete date hasn't been released but the video had been uploaded on September 27th.
The driver, Stanley Clarke, claims that his foot had gotten trapped in between the brake and gas pedals, making the car accelerate to the point where he couldn't control the car. From there - well, just see for yourself:
While the accident does look extreme, thankfully Clarke walked away with only a few minor injuries - so, you don't need to feel that bad for giggling. The car, on the other hand, probably won't be getting driven any time soon.
If the video teaches drivers anything, it's that if you're ever in a situation where the car is out of your control, just use your breaks! Trying to control the car with the wheel will only get you in a bigger mess to the tune of tumbling from a roof.
