Next month, parts of Canada will be treated to a full “strawberry moon.” This beautiful strawberry moon will be visible in BC and Alberta, so mark your calendars. You may not have heard about it before, but trust us when we say that you won’t want to miss it.
According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, British Columbia and Alberta will be treated to a full strawberry moon in June. This insanely beautiful moon happens every June as a way of signaling the ripening of wild strawberries.
Also known as the Honey Moon, Mead Moon, and the Full Rose Moon, this full moon is a way to mark the changing of seasons. It’s also the perfect time to see the moon more close and personal.
So when will this moon peak? The June full moon will be the brightest, biggest, and fullest on June 17, 2019. So that day, try to find a spot away from the city lights or check out an observatory.
The last quarter of the full moon will be taking place on June 25, 2019. Although the moon will not be full, it will still be huge and a sight to behold.
