A video has emerged on social media featuring an extremely heated argument between two Calgary neighbours. The video, posted on Monday, April 20, depicts a Calgary woman shouting at her neighbour in what's being described as a racist incident.

The video was posted by Razan Abou Hishmeh on their Facebook page on Monday night. It featured her brother and his family reportedly getting yelled at by a fellow neighbour while he was "fixing his patio."

The argument took place in the Malborough community in Calgary, as written in the caption of the video. The video was recorded by Hishmeh's sister-in-law, she told Narcity.

The video begins with a woman pointing at Hishmeh's brother and demanding answers for an unidentified incident. "You don't know nothing. Just because you come from a different origin does not mean you got the right," she yells.

"I am white! You're a different colour," she shouts. "People that are white have rights."

Then the lady defends someone named Abdul, who she describes as a gentleman. "You don't treat that man with disrespect!" she yells. It is unclear what provoked the argument initially, or what these comments are regarding.

Afterwards, she accuses Hishmeh's brother of letting his kids run out in the street, claiming she's seen them almost get hit multiple times.

It's that point when Hishmeh's sister-in-law, who's been taking a video of the whole dispute, says, "that's not true," in response to the woman's accusation. "You're such a liar," she adds.

The argument goes on for quite a while. The woman proceeds to call the man a bad parent for "standing and watching" while his kids run on the street.

The man speaks up and says, "This is my driveway. What do you have to do with it?"

To which the lady replies, "Lots! I live here!"

She then repeats "I'm white!"

After the man replies that he's "brown" and asks if she has a problem with that, the woman denies that's the case.

"You think you can do anything? Where were you born?" she asks. "Where were you born?" she repeats.

She then says unless he was "born in this country," then "you ain't Canadian."

That's when we hear Hishmeh's sister-in-law commentate in the background of the video, "What a racist."

The video has been shared 970 times on Facebook at the time of writing. In her caption, Hishmeh urged the public to share and spread the word.

"RACISM IS NOT OKAY!" the caption reads.

She went on to say, "this is my brother's RACIST neighbour attacking him and his family for being brown!. He was just fixing his Patio. Apparently, we have no rights, and we should not be in Canada."

It's unknown at the time of writing whether this incident has been reported to the authorities. Narcity has reached out to Hishmeh's brother for comment. This article will be updated when we receive a response.

Calgary Police told Narcity that they can't take action unless an official report has been filed with the cops.
