Two schools have been placed on "watch."
Dr. Deena Hinshaw updated the public on Monday, September 21 about COVID-19 cases in Alberta schools.
She said that 81 schools currently have active alerts for COVID-19 cases; this means one or more individuals have been on the premises while infected.
So far, a total of 126 cases are linked to those schools.

Six new school outbreaks have been recorded, resulting in a total of 19 so far, Hinshaw said in the press conference.
On top of that, two schools have been placed on "watch," status which means more than five cases have been recorded in each school.
"It's important to remember that only 3% of all schools in the province have had any COVID-19 exposure to date," she said.
