Are you known as the chef in your friend group? If so, then your passion for cooking could win you the trip of a lifetime. Airbnb's cooking contest is searching for 100 of the best home cooks across the globe, including Canada. They will get a free trip to Italy where they can learn from the best with culinary classes led by David Chang.

The lucky Airbnb contest winners will travel to the UNESCO world heritage site in Pollenzo, Italy.

They will experience five delicious days of culinary classes at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.

The chosen few winners will split into smaller groups, each with 25 spots, to join one of the four-course sessions that will take place in Italy between June and July 2020.

When applying, you will need to complete a short application. Within the form, you will need to describe your best recipe and why you would be a good fit for this opportunity.

The winners will get the chance to learn from chef superstars like Momofuku chef and founder David Chang.

There also will be a ton of fun experiences to enjoy like workshops and tastings led by special guests.

Once the program wraps up, the cooks will also have their recipes featured in Airbnb's first-ever cookbook

The prize is valued to be worth approximately US$6,000 and includes:

  • A five-day course at University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo
  • Meals throughout the five days (excluding breakfast)
  • Transit from home airport or train station to Pollenzo, Italy
  • Accommodations throughout stay
  • Being featured in Airbnb's first cookbook

The top 200 entrants will be shortlisted and will need to provide a short video, and have either a telephone or video interview.

Do you think you have what it takes to be one of the next best home cooks? Canadians that are at least 18 years old are eligible to apply online, and there is a limit of one entry per person.
