It seems as though there have been some seriously strange and unusual police reports lately in Canada. The most recent one involves a 28-year-old man falling off 60-feet cliff in BC all because he was trying to pee off the side of a mountain. While he suffered some intense injuries, he did manage to survive the incident.
According to the Vancouver Courier, a 28-year-old man in Kelowna, BC was out and about enjoying the warm weather. He was allegedly on Dilworth Mountain and was riding his BMX bike when all of a sudden, he felt the urge to pee.
So instead of holding in his bladder until he reached a bathroom, the man decided to literally pee off the mountainside. He ended up literally falling 60 feet down the embarkment all because he was going to the bathroom.
The incident took place at around 4 PM yesterday on June 11. First responders were called to the scene by the victim following the fall. According to Vancouver Courier, a helicopter was deployed to help transport him. Due to the man's immediate pain, first responders removed him and transported him on a Gator ATV.
Tim Light with the Kelowna Fire Department told Castanet that he had several injuries in his lower body. This included possible broken ankles and broken legs.
Although he was clearly in pain and most likely in shock, the man was conscious when first responders attended to him.
In the past couple weeks, we have heard of some seriously bizarre police cases, one of which also took place in Kelowna, BC.
At the beginning of May, a former Canadian hockey player tried to abduct a woman's baby in broad daylight. When he realized he could not do it, he actually jumped into the Okanagan lake, fully naked, just to swim away from police. He eventually barricaded himself on a pile of wood not far from the shore, but police sent a boat out to get him.
Oddly enough, this is not the first time someone has used a large body of water to get away from police. Most recently, a 15-year-old boy in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan evaded arrest after being handcuffed by swimming across the river. The boy was handcuffed the entire time and managed to swim the entire length of the river which is around 1,100 feet.
I guess we can add this cliff peeing incident to the list of weird police stories that we encounter.
