A 5-Year-Old Boy Was Killed By A Falling Tree While Hiking In BC This Week
The tree fell on a group of kids with their 22-year-old supervisor.
An investigation is underway after a five-year-old boy was killed by a falling tree in Kingfisher Trail, Yarrow on Tuesday, August 18.
According to a police release by Chilliwack RCMP, the tree fell on a group of people while they were walking along the trail.
This group was local to the Chilliwack area and consisted of children being supervised on a day hike along the trail.

The supervisor of the group was a 22-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
"RCMP Victim Services is engaged with the families of the group and child," said Mike Rail in the release.
Meanwhile, RCMP and BC Coroners Service are working to gather evidence surrounding the incident.
