Global News reported that police are currently investigating what may be a case of an . Sources told Global News that a deceased infant was found inside a on Wednesday night. The toilet was located around Hastings and Main Street.
Prior to the discovery, a woman had allegedly spent the entire day inside the restroom facility.
In an email, the Vancouver Police Department told Narcity that they are "investigating a tragic incident which happened in the area of Main and Hastings Street yesterday evening."
Sources reportedly told CTV News that the police investigation seemingly involved the body of a baby.
CTV News explains that several police officers were in the area of Main and Hastings on Wednesday night and a portable toilet was closed off by police tape.
The news outlet also reports that may have been a body being wheeled away from the scene on a stretcher.
Though police have confirmed that an incident took place and that it was, indeed, tragic, they have not confirmed any further details.
