One person on scene was able to capture a video of the aftermath. They have posted the horrifying video on Reddit Vancouver.
In the video, you can see a large amount of blood splatter on the sidewalk. The person with the camera then pans to the police cruiser and he asks an officer why type of dog it was.
An officer rolls down the window of the car and here you see the white and brown dog. His mouth and his back are completely covered with blood. The dog appears calm in demeanor and seems unbothered when the videographer looks in.
It is unclear if the blood belongs to the dog or the two victims. According to City News 1130, Surrey RCMP are unsure of what led up to the attack. RCMP units had to corral the dog after the attack, which they then kept in the cruiser until animal control officers arrived on scene.
