Fans have been anxiously anticipating the release of the new Canucks jerseys, and it looks like the secret is now out. Photos of the Vancouver Canucks' new jerseys have been leaked ahead of their release and Twitter definitely has some thoughts. It's hard to tell whether it was a legit accident or a marketing tactic, but what we do know for sure is that the Internet is torn on what to think of them.
The images were first leaked online then later confirmed by Chris Creamer of SportLogo.net. The leaked photos only showcased the home jerseys but later, Creamer confirmed that the same changes would be made to the away jerseys as well. This photo leak comes as the Vancouver Canucks heads into their 50th anniversary season.
From the looks of it, the team will be sticking with the popular orca logo on their jerseys but they have taken away the “Vancouver" logo that used to sit at the top. This will be removed from both the team's home and away jerseys.
That's not the only major change. The team's shoulder patches are also now a different colour and have switched from blue to white.
While the changes may seem minor to some, many hockey fanatics are divided over them and have many thoughts. Since the leak, Twitter has been blowing up with reactions and it seems like pretty much everyone is a critic.

However, it's not all bad news. Some people are down for the changes. Many are glad to see that the orca has stayed and the word “Vancouver” has disappeared.
Others are sick and tired of the orca logo. To be fair, it has been around for quite some time. Some are willing to put tradition aside and want something completely new.
Then there are those who feel that the team didn't do enough with the new jerseys. They are calling them out for making too little of a change.
Some tweets were so savage and fans said that since they have been disappointed by the team before, so being disappointed in the jersey is not surprising. One Twitter user even said that they were disappointed but they already knew they were going to be. Yikes.
While people did not waver and took one side of the fence or the other, some people just saw it as the perfect opportunity to troll, and we are so here for that.
People even made their own rendition of the jerseys but instead, swapped it with the Toronto Raptors logo.
Whether you love them or hate them, Vancouver is set to wear the new jerseys during the upcoming 2019-2020 season. Prepare the memes.
