The Fair at the PNE finally opened in Vancouver last weekend. While going to the fair can be exciting, it can also be a strain on your wallet, but it doesn’t have to be! This week and next week, PNE's free admission days are coming back and here's what you need to know.

PNE is the most anticipated event of the summer. Every year, the grounds bring in some new and fun entertainment, games, and food and this year is no exception. Not only will the actives be amazing, but TLC is set to headline one of the Summer Nights Concerts! Need we say more?

Once you factor in getting there, the cost of admission, and the cost of ride wristbands, it starts to add up. PNE recognizes this and is actually offering free entry on two separate days this fair season!

According to an email sent by PNE to Narcity, free admission for all guests will be taking place on Aug. 20 and 27. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. so anyone can get into the grounds completely free!

That means you can see live music, take in the sights, and participate in activities and shows all for the cost of nothing. Now that’s my kind of deal!

PNE has stated that re-entrance stamps will only be given out after 1 p.m., so if you plan on leaving after that time, be sure to get one!

Other than that, guests can come and go as they please anytime without a stamp until 1 p.m.

Tickets range depending on age and can be upwards of $50. So why not go when it’s free?

This year, there are tons of new things to do, see, and explore. Not to mention all your old favourites will be there too.

If anything, we strongly recommend hitting up the grounds to take in all the awesome food. This year, there are some insane food items that you have to see to believe.

PNE kicked off on Aug. 17 and will run until Sept. 2. Operating hours will be from 11 a.m. to late every day with closures taking place on Aug. 19 and 26.
