A Canadian Economic Minister Has A Social Distancing Confession & TBH We Can Relate
We feel you, Matthew!
Social distancing is a whole new experience for most people, and it appears this is no different for Canada’s politicians. In fact, according to one of the country’s Tourism and Economic Ministers, we’re all probably stressing about the same things. In a tell-all post, P.E.I’s Matthew Mackay revealed his COVID-19 social distancing confession, and it’s so painfully relatable.
As Canadians across the country prepare tofor the next couple of weeks, some of us are already worrying about the disruptions to our regular routines.
For P.E.I’s Minister of Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture, there was no choice but to make a specific social distancing confession.
Taking to Facebook, Matthew Mackay explained, “I just wanted to give you my daily update.”
He continued, “I will start off by confessing that I dye my hair. If I didn’t, I would be grey.
“I figured I might as well tell everyone now because in two weeks you will find out anyway now that hair salons are closed. At 38, I’m not ready to let it go natural,” he joked.
Don't worry Matthew, as hairdressers and barberswe're all going to be rocking less-than-perfect haircuts!
Mackay's hilarious admission comes as many of Canada's businesses have been asked to close to the public due to COVID-19 concerns.
Speaking on Monday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urged Canadians to stay home wherever possible, warningto the virus that "enough is enough."
During his statement, the PM noted that the federal government would be prepared to take stronger measures if necessary, by legally enforcing social distancing.
For those worried about their isolation haircut, it could be a while before you're able to get a proper trim or a colour!
Last weekend, Canada's Health Minister warned that Canadians should be prepared to practice, not just weeks.
While we probably won’t be looking our best during the separation period, just think of all the weird and wonderful cuts and colours that will appear when we all emerge again!
Until then, keep laughing Canada!
