Even Nickelback Is Now Part Of Donald Trump's Impeachment Problems
The President tweeted a clip that included one of the band's songs.
While Canadians are focusing on their own upcoming election, things in the United States have been a little more intense than usual. Currently, there are impeachment proceedings moving forward against the President, who has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. Now, Donald Trump has even managed to drag Nickelback into the situation.
On October 2,tweeted a meme featuring a clip from the band's music video for Photograph, with the phrase "LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH."
The clip had reportedly been edited to include a picture of Joe Biden and his son Hunter golfing with someone identified in the video as "Ukraine gas exec." The clip was also preceded by a video of Biden denying that he had ever spoken to his son about overseas business dealings.

The Photograph meme has a lot of mileage on it, even being trotted out during Justin Trudeau's brownface scandal. However, the video had been removed from the tweet due to a copyright notice within 12 hours of being posted, according to The Guardian. As of 8:30 a.m. on October 3, the tweet was still on the President's feed.

This is not the first time that President Trump has had a takedown notice on one of his tweets including copyrighted material. In April 2019, Warner Bros. issued a copyright notice against Trump after he posted a video including Hans Zimmer's score from the film The Dark Knight Rises.
That tweet, however, was eventually deleted. Both tweets were left with empty spaces in place of the included videos, with only the words "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner" being displayed.
As of writing, Nickelback has yet to respond to the President's tweet. Their most recent tweet indicates that they have arrived in Brazil.
