The candidates from each Canadian federal party had a lot to say during the TVA French-language debate, but there was one thing that Canadians seemed to really focus on, almost as much as anything else. As it turns out, what people really want to know is: how tall is Andrew Scheer?
Scheer's height has been noticed before in the campaign, with it being one of the top Google searches regarding the federal election in Alberta. According to the Toronto Star, "How tall is Andrew Scheer?" was the most asked question by Albertans on Google.
As it turns out, Scheer is six-foot-four, which is actually six inches taller than the average Canadian man. Scheer is actually the same height as Abraham Lincoln, who is still the tallest president in U.S. history.
According to the Presidential Height Index, the taller candidate won the U.S. presidential election 58 percent of the time.
Andrew Scheer's height has not gone unnoticed during the campaign, with Twitter users talking about just how much he towers over everyone else.
"The thing the struck me the most is how tall Andrew Scheer is," wrote @heyitsgalen.
"I had no idea Andrew Scheer was this tall and now I’ll have nightmares about an overgrown baby," wrote @TheRealSook.
Whether Andrew Scheer's considerable height will give him an edge in the election will be seen when Canadians cast their votes on October 21.
