On October 10, the Prime Minister chatted with Trump about his COVID-19 diagnosis, the pandemic and more.

Trudeau wished the U.S. President and his wife well as they deal with having the virus and he recalled how Trump was concerned for Sophie Grégoire Trudeau after she got sick earlier in the year.

The President and Prime Minister agreed to stay in close contact.

The Prime Minister and President talked about the ongoing efforts happening in both countries to manage the pandemic and keep everyone safe.

Trudeau also thanked Trump for the support the U.S. has given when it comes to getting two Canadian citizens released from arbitrary detention in China.

Both of the leaders agreed to stay in close contact with each other.

After Trump announced that he and his wife tested positive for COVID-19, Trudeau reached out on Twitter.

He sent his best wishes and hopes for the U.S. President and his wife to have a full recovery.
