One of the perils of doing live TV outside in the spring is bugs. The Prime Minister is learning that firsthand now. On May 21, there was an unwelcome guest at Trudeau's press conference.

Justin Trudeau's podium space was invaded by a wasp and it got so close to his face he had to swat it away.

As soon as he got to the usual spot set up outside of Rideau Cottage, and started his daily address to Canadians, a wasp began buzzing around him.

That led to the prime minister swatting it away multiple times.

If you would've run away screaming the second a wasp got close to you, you're not very similar to the Prime Minister.

He was very calm, cool and collected.

Only a minute into his press conference, the buzzer approached Trudeau's face and he swatted it away without even blinking or losing his place in his speech.

However, it was the second time around that the wasp got really close.

About 10 minutes later, it was back again.

The wasp buzzed around Trudeau for a little bit before it got gusty and almost landed on his eye.

While still listening to a reporter's question, he flinched back and swatted the wasp twice before it flew away.

This isn't the first time a wasp has gone rogue during one of the PM's press conferences.

It also made an appearance on May 19.

The wasp buzzed around Trudeau for a while, landed on the microphone and flew away.

But then it came back and landed on the mic again before walking on it and then flying away again.

The man didn't even flinch.

With spring well underway, maybe this wasp will become a permanent fixture in the Prime Minister's daily addresses.

While the Liberal leader has used his press conferences to make announcements regarding COVID-19, there have been lots of lighthearted and funny moments.

He famously warned Canadians against "speaking moistly" back in April, which took Canada by storm. A brewery even made a beer about the moment.

He has shouted out people making sourdough at home and had to run back inside Rideau Cottage to get a coat because it was colder than he expected one day.

Trudeau's hair flip during one of his talks has also gone viral.
