Canada is getting ready to pay tribute to one of our fallen. Captain Jennifer Casey is going to be honoured with a procession in Nova Scotia. Her family has a special request for those coming out to pay their respects.
On May 24, Casey's body will be returned home to Nova Scotia.
A procession that will go through the streets of Halifax will be held in honour of the Snowbirds member.
Canada's Governor General will be in attendance.
After that, the procession will move through the city.
A member of the Canadian Armed Forces told the Canadian Press that Casey's family has a special request for those coming out to pay tribute.
Her family wants people who watch the procession to be comfortable.
So, people can wear Montreal Canadiens jerseys, The Tragically Hip merch and Star Wars clothing, because those were some of Casey's interests.
The Snowbirds also tweeted that people could wear red and white to honour Casey as those are the flying team's official colours.*
The procession will be livestreamed on the Facebook pages of the Snowbirds, Royal Canadian Air Force and Canadian Armed Forces for everyone in Canada to watch.
Even if you can't be there in person, you can still pay your respects.
