Winter in Ontario is still going strong, and the snow is coming down across the province. Residents woke up this morning with a fresh layer of the white stuff to clear, and plenty of footage of their morning view. The Ontario storm is still coming down in some places, and it's not over yet.

We've been bracing for this since the short-lived spring weather graced the GTA last weekend. Now, it's back to winter as usual.

The roads are already chaotic and the OPP has reported around 180 crashes in the past 12 hours, according to their tweet this morning.

Travel is actually discouraged today due to white-out conditions and snow squalls that are set to blow in. If you must drive, be safe out there.

The snowmaggedon continues on, and it is still coming down after a wet and slushy start last night.

The Weather Network is reporting that some areas could even get 50 centimetres or more by the end of the day in regions around Ottawa and Bancroft.

So get out those snow blowers and put on your best pair of winter boots so you can start digging out those driveways.

People are already sharing their footage of what has come down so far, and it is looking like a winter wonderland all over the province.

The commute is going to be super messy today, so leave extra travel time for yourself this morning and into the evening.

The roads are not only covered in the white stuff but are also slick with ice from the wet conditions last night. Even the Ottawa mayor was warning residents to stay home throughout Thursday.

The snow is still piling up in different amounts all over the province, but everywhere has one thing in common: there's a lot of it.

Fingers crossed that this is the last big snowfall of the season.

Spring is only a few weeks away and while it's forecasted to be wet, we can still hope to see some warm weather throughout the new season.
