Don't say you weren't warned! A homeowner in Ontario suffered a break-in on Monday evening, but the thief got a surprise greeting of his own. As he committed a Brockville break and enter, the homeowner's pet parrot let out a friendly "hello!"

Unfortunately, the warning call was ignored by the resident. It turns out the parrot "isn't always a reliable source of information," according to Brockville Police.

The resident had a credit card stolen from his wallet inside the home.

Luckily, neighbours were able to photograph the suspect as he left. Maybe they heard the parrot's warning call and were more trusting?

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday, August 18 after using the stolen card at a local store and has been charged with breaking and entering, theft, and using a stolen credit card.
