They are reportedly stable.
The scary thing about the current pandemic is that the virus can affect people of any age, and Ottawa's COVID-19 cases demonstrate this with the city's first minor admitted to the ICU.
According to the latest Epidemiology Weekly Supplement from Ottawa Public Health, a 16-year-old was among the week's hospitalizations and is the first minor in the nation's capital to be admitted into intensive care.

Ottawa Public Health would not comment on the patient for privacy reasons, as reported by CTV News.
However, a spokesperson for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario said that they are in stable condition, and that they are receiving the best care possible in an "extremely safe environment."
In total, there have been 256 hospitalizations and 63 ICU admissions due to COVID-19 in Ottawa.
