Seth Rogen's cannabis company, Houseplant, will soon be making its products available in Ontario. Houseplant, a Toronto-based retailer which currently sells its products only in British Columbia, announced that the company is set to expand into to Ontario this summer. According to CNBC, the Seth Rogen cannabis brand is expected to offer its premier product, Houseplant Sativa, online and through provincially-regulated retailers in the summer of 2019.
Houseplant is the brainchild of Rogen and co-founder Evan Goldberg. It was conceptualized to focus on educating consumers about cannabis. "It’s thrilling to be able to grow our company and give those in Ontario access to products that we are so proud of," Rogen said in a press statement.
The company is also planning to offer Houseplant Hybrid and Houseplant Indica strains, in addition to soft gels and pre-rolled joints throughout the year.
In a statement, Goldberg commented, "Early on we made the decision to proceed with measured growth to make sure we don’t compromise the quality of our product or disappoint our customers. Ontario is an exciting next step for us."
Houseplant is also dedicated to the "expungement of criminal records and the employment of those unjustly targeted and incarcerated worldwide for non-violent cannabis crimes."
