Gas Prices In The GTA Are About To Drop By Another Five Cents Per Litre
This is an even larger drop than we saw for the long weekend.
Great news for drivers in the GTA! Toronto gas prices will be dropping by 5 cents per litre this Thursday, Aug. 8, as will prices across the entire GTA. So, hold off on filling up if you can.
The average price is expected to be as low as 118.9 cents per litre, according to 680 News. This is an even bigger drop than we saw for the civic holiday long weekend in Ontario, when across the country were between 2-4 cents a litre, averaging around 121.9 cents per litre.
The highest monthly average for July 2019 was 129.9 cents per litre, while the lowest average was 123.9. August is looking much better for gas prices so far. Toronto and the GTA as well as Barrie, London, Hamilton and Ottawa will be the cities that will see the 5-cent decrease.
Certain pumps in Toronto are going even below the average. The lowest price available as of Wednesday morning is sitting at 112.9 cents per litre, according to GasBuddy. That price is subject to change and fluctuation.
