Calling all '90s kids and Barbie Girls! This summer, popular '90s groups Aqua, S Club, Prozzak and more are performing at the ultimate '90s dance party just outside of Toronto. The concert is called the Wayback Dance Party and so far, it's shaping up to be a super nostalgic night.
To make it the ultimate '90s bash, it's going to take more than just one group so the Wayback Dance Party has enlisted five different groups to perform. The full concert line-up includes Aqua, famous for their hit "Barbie Girl", Right Said Fred who are behind the ever-popular "I'm Too Sexy", and The Vengaboys who are known for their iconic "We Like To Party" Vengabus.
The concert also features S Club, AKA S Club 3 which is made up of three members of the original group S Club 7, known of course for "S Club Party" and "Bring It All Back". Topping it all off, the line up includes Toronto's own Prozzak, known for their 90s pop videos. To make it all even more nostalgic, this throwback festival is going to be hosted by former Much Music VJ Rick "The Temp" Campanelli alongside longtime DJ and radio host Tony Monaco, who's currently with Z103.
On top of all the throwback groups in the lineup, the festival is also giving you the most immersive '90s experience ever. There will several '90s inspired activities like a retro candy store, Mario Kart racing, and even a Moe's Tavern inspired by The Simpsons.
The festival will be on Saturday, June 22 starting around 3 PM. It will take place at Interchange Park in Vaughan, a massive open space just north of Toronto. It's also located only two blocks away from the subway. Keep in mind though, this means the event is outside.
Tickets for the Wayback Dance Party are available now and they actually are pretty affordable. General admission is only $75 but if you have a group of 10 you can get a VIP booth for $3500 that includes front of stage access, a rooftop patio with jacuzzi, access to VIP washrooms, and lots and lots of alcohol.
