Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit are currently investigating a sexual assault that occurred near Professor's Lake in Brampton, Ontario. Yesterday at approximately 9:45 AM, a man allegedly sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman from Brampton who was jogging in the area. The Brampton sexual assault suspect was unknown to the woman, according to Peel Regional Police.

The woman ran through a wooded area on an unpaved trail after completing her jog near Professor's Lake, near Bovaird Drive East and Torbram Road. Police reports claim that she tripped and fell to the ground, and when getting up, a man appeared from the wooded area.

The man grabbed the woman by the waist and refused to let go. She kicked the man's leg to attempt to stop him, but to no avail.

The man then hoisted up the victim and dragged her off the trail, deeper into the wooded area.  Just as he pushed her up against a tree, a witness walked by, causing him to flee toward the recreational centre that adjacent to the trail.

Police describe the suspect as a male, black, mid 20’s, 6 feet tall, with a medium muscular build.
