It's a wonderful time to be in Toronto. It finally feels like summer in the city, the Raptors have a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals and a bunch of husky puppies are about to go up for adoption. The city's animal service made the husky puppy adoption Toronto announcement on social media yesterday.
"Husky puppies, all of the husky puppies! We’re celebrating the incredible Raptors Game 3 win with this cuteness," Toronto Animal Service wrote on Thursday. While the puppies are not ready for adoption quite yet, it's clear that we don't have too much longer to wait. You can keep an eye on their adoption status on Toronto Animal Service's website.
"This wriggly group came to us when their family couldn’t care for them anymore," Toronto Animal Service writes. Narcity has reached out for more details and will update this story once we hear back.
This gang of husky pups isn't the only adorable new addition to the Toronto Animal Service roster. Just this week, they also rescued an orphan fawn, who was found wandering all alone off of the Don Valley Parkway. She was found curled up next to her mother, who sadly passed away. Thankfully, the crew members who arrived to pick up her mother were able to rescue her.
"The fawn was tiny, wet and cold but bright and alert – we all couldn't quite believe they managed to find the fawn." writes Toronto Animal Service. "Remember, if you see wildlife that appears to be abandoned, call 311 for instructions on what to do."
As for the husky puppies, we'll be the first ones to let you know when they're ready to find their forever homes!
