Pride Toronto Parade: Justin Trudeau Has Officially Been Spotted Celebrating Pride In Toronto

Trudeau and Tory were both in attendance.

As the famous Pride Toronto parade is officially underway, the entire city of Toronto is out on the streets and celebrating. While the parade marches through the city core to celebrate, many special guests will be attending. Even Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in attendance as he marches with the colourful procession throughout the downtown core.

While many Pride attendees had a hunch that Trudeau would be in attendance, it wasn't confirmed until his personal photographer Adam Scotti posted a give away just before the parade was about to get underway. In a Tweet that shows Justin with the Queen of the North, Brook Lynn Hytes, Scotti confirmed that Justin was in fact in Toronto to celebrate Pride.

This isn't the first time that Trudeau has shown his support in Toronto. He was also spotted marching in the Pride Parade in Toronto in 2017 and 2016. While Trudeau did miss the Pride parade in Toronto last year, he showed his support in both the Vancouver and Montreal parades in 2018.

Now, Trudeau is back in Toronto for the 2019 Pride parade, and he's been spotted repping a Canadian Pride flag as he marches down the street, waving at onlookers.

However, Trudeau wasn't the only political leader in attendance for this year's parade. Toronto Mayor John Tory has been showing his Pride spirit all weekend and all month long and was spotted marching beside Trudeau.

Moments before the parade got underway, Tory stated that he was amazed to see the crowds that had made it out for the Parade. He states that "Toronto is and always will be a place that is open and accepting of everyone."

Amazing to see so many people out for today’s Toronto #Pride Parade. Our city is showing its #Pride. Toronto is and always will be a place that is open and accepting of everyone. #PrideTO #ProudMayor pic.twitter.com/BwiXlVnSZz

However, one political leader wasn't in attendance at the Toronto Pride Parade. Earlier this month, Ford made it clear that he would not be participating in Toronto's Pride Parade due to the lack of police presence. However, Ford did march in the York Region Pride Parade last week, making a surprise appearance with other Conservative MPPs.

Instead of attending Toronto's Pride Parade, Ford spent his day in Brampton supporting a charity event called Ride For Raja.

It was great to have Premier @fordnation in #Brampton this morning to kickoff #RideForRaja.

I would like to thank all the riders for participating and supporting this amazing cause. #onpoli pic.twitter.com/yzxFALQGhy

This charity appearance also comes one day after Doug Ford hosted his annual Ford Fest in Markham.
