Police are asking for the public's help in locating a stolen Toronto puppy.

The pup was taken right in front of its owners on August 5 at approximately 1:45 p.m. near the Gihon Spring Drive and Mount Olive Drive area.


A man in a black four-door vehicle pulled up alongside the dogs, got out of the vehicle and picked up one of the dogs.

Investigators state that a woman and her children were walking their two dogs when the theft occurred.

The woman had reportedly stopped to attend to one of the children when a man pulled up in a four-door vehicle. 

The accused then lept out his car, stole the puppy, rushed back to his vehicle, and drove away.

The stolen puppy was an 11-week old American bulldog and Doberman mix. Photos of the dog have been released.
