A plane had a pretty rough time on February 18 after losing a wheel mid-flight. The plane took off from New York's LaGuardia airport and was bound for YYZ, where it made a Toronto emergency landing after a wheel fell off mid-flight. The pilots were able to make a safe landing, it was all caught on video, and all 120 passengers and five crew members were unscathed.

When the plane touched down, one of the wheels on the right side of the main landing gear was missing, CP24 reports. It was one of six on the underside of the plane.

The plane landed safely at around 4 p.m. after taking off from New York about two hours earlier, according to CTV News. It had secured priority landing at Pearson Airport.

There is an investigation underway, and Narcity has reached Air Canada for a comment.

No injuries were reported, and the plane had no serious issues touching down, judging by video footage of the incident.

“The aircraft, an Airbus A319, experienced an issue with one of its six tires on take-off,” Air Canada said in a statement to CTV News Toronto.

Another passenger also tweeted a video of the incident.

"Thankful to be on the ground safe and sound! My thanks to the captain and crew for their excellent work and communications. Well done," the Twitter user wrote.

The plane was towed once passengers and the crew made their exit, according to the Toronto Sun

CP24 notes that most airline jets are designed to be able to land anyways in case a wheel does fall off, so serious danger was not likely.

This isn't the first time an Air Canada aircraft has had issues in recent times.

Just a few weeks ago, one of their planes circled a Madrid airport for hours before making an emergency landing. Engine issues were the problem on that occasion. Luckily, everyone was alright.

The footage is pretty crazy, though.

But, at least this flight didn't get turned around due to a false coronavirus claim, like one WestJet aircraft was forced to do recently.

Narcity has reached out to Air Canada for comment.
