Toronto Police are alerting the public of two incidents in which a man tried to lure young girls into his car.  According to the Toronto Police Service, both incidents occurred in the Forest Manor Road and Parkway Forest Drive area, near Don Mills subway station, at approximately 2:00 PM. Both incidents happened on a weekday afternoon. The Toronto man accused of child luring has been spotted in a red vehicle.

On Thursday, April 11th, a case was reported to Toronto Police in which a man attempted to lure a 10-year-old girl into his vehicle.  The girl was walking in the area, accompanied by an adult following behind her.  Upon realizing the girl was not alone, the man fled the scene.

A more recent case was also reported to Toronto Police. On Monday, April 22nd, it was reported that a man approached two 10-year-old girls who were playing in the park.  The man tried to get the girls to come with him, and luckily, the girls were able to run away and inform an adult.  The man - described as an older white man driving a red car - then fled the area.

This isn't the first time a case like this has been reported in Toronto recently.  Just last month, a 14-year-old female was followed and approached by a man in a vehicle as she was walking down the street in the Elm Avenue and Dunbar Road area.  The man demanded she enter the vehicle, and when she refused to oblige, he allegedly forcefully grabbed her hand and pulled her into him. Fortunately, was able to escape his grasp and run away.

Police described the suspect as a black man around 30-years-old, six feet tall, and has short hair or a shaved head.  During the incident, he was wearing a black Adidas hoodie and black sweat pants.  Police say he was driving a small black four-door sedan.

About one week later, a similar incident occurred no more than a block away.  In the Elm Avenue and Sherbourne Road area, a second event occurred on March 15th and 3:30 PM, police allege.

According to the police news release, a man driving a silver Nissan Altima began following a 13-year-old girl who was walking on the sidewalk.  The man allegedly began making remarks of a sexual nature to the young female.  Terrified, she ran to a friend’s house, and the man continued to wait outside in his car.  The suspect, a man described by police as black and in his early 20s, fled the scene.
