Toronto Police have charged a 44-year-old man in connection to a disturbing incident at a local high school. According to police reports, officers responded to an "unknown trouble" call at the school, located near the intersection of Bayview and Cummer Avenues, at around 11:03 AM on Tuesday. The man reportedly barred the student from leaving the bathroom before sexually assaulting her. It was the girl's screams that first alerted staff members to the situation.
Upon hearing the girl's cries for help. staff members immediately rushed to her assistance and called the police. Given the fact that the police were able to detain him upon their arrival, it would appear that staff were able to prevent him from escaping.
