Toronto has made it onto another global ranking. This time, Toronto was named one of the best cities for students in the world. So if you're a student living in Toronto, this ranking is saying that you have it better than students in many other cities around the world. Some may agree with that, but some may not.

AppJobs, a website that helps people look for job opportunities in their city, recently released their ranking of The World's Best Cities To Be A Student.

We're happy to share that there was some Canadian representation on the list. Three Canadian cities made it onto the ranking as among the best in the world – Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Toronto was ranked 13th overall. Montreal took the top spot in Canada and placed 5th in the global ranking. Vancouver came in 20th.

The study looked at a variety of factors to determine the best cities around the world for students, such as cost of living, job opportunities and more.

"We have analysed the world’s top cities to study and ranked them according to key factors we believe are most important to students," read the report.

"This included average monthly rent prices, the number of universities in the area, the number of part-time jobs, the number of concerts and shows, and of course, the average cost of a pint."

Toronto scored well for its part-time job opportunities, coming in fourth on the list for the category. However, it ranked lower on the list for the cost of rent and the cost of a pint. Vancouver beat out Toronto for having more expensive rent.

Toronto is home to a number of universities and colleges, including York, Ryerson and the top-ranked university in all of Canada, University of Toronto. QS World University Rankings also named Toronto the 13th best city in the world for students last year in 2018

Prague took the number one spot on AppJob's rankings, with Moscow coming in second and Berlin third. Montreal and Toronto beat out all the American cities on the list. New York and Boston were the only two U.S. cities to make the ranking.
