Police are asking the public to help identify a young man accused of punching someone in the face during a dispute about face mask. 

According to the Toronto police report, the assault occurred on September 18 at around 9:00 p.m. in a convenience store near the Don Mills Road and Gateway Boulevard area.

Officers responding to the call stated that an unknown man was questioned about his lack of face mask upon entering the store.

The unknown man punched the other man in the face, breaking some of his teeth.

The suspect then attacked the other man breaking his teeth.

Police have released security images of the man, who fled the scene shortly after the assault. 

The suspect is wanted on charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm. An investigation has been launched.

A similar incident occurred back in April after a Toronto by-law officer was assaulted for handing out a social distancing ticket.
