Everyone’s favourite season is officially closing out. Toronto summers are short but sweet, and it's time to kiss it goodbye. It looks like we'll be fast-tracking through our summer goodbyes because Toronto weather this weekend will be cool and crisp.
According to The Weather Network, a cold front is going to cool things down this week. Temperatures across Ontario are set to plunge into a fall-like pattern. The notably chilly weather will carry us through the end of the week, with daytimes struggling to reach 20 C. Sigh.
You’re going to want to rock a jacket this weekend as the city settles into those autumn vibes. Daytime highs will drop again on Sunday with nighttime temperatures hitting as low 11 C. Anyone thinking of heading to the cottage this weekend should know that it's not exactly swimming weather.
"We'll see a rather cool start to next week with temperatures more typical of the end of September," explained Weather Network Meteorologist, Doug Gillham.
So, can we really say that summer is officially over? Not exactly. Toronto will get another taste of warm weather by the middle of next week. However, it’s also set to bring rain and thunderstorms.
"Temperatures will quickly rebound with highs reaching the low-to-mid-20s for Tuesday and Wednesday," adds Gillham. "We will also have an increasing potential for showers and thunderstorms during the middle of next week."
Well, summer, it looks like this isn't goodbye forever, but only goodbye for now.
