Toronto's Porter Airlines 20-Minute Flights To Muskoka Officially Start Next Week
Porter Airlines is offering 20-minute flights from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to Muskoka Airport for the summer season.
Travelling to cottage country just got a whole lot easier. Toronto's regional airline made an official announcement that Porter Airlines will begin flying to Muskoka Airport as part of its 2019 summer service. It will only take about 20 minutes to fly from Toronto to Ontario's iconic summer destination. Flights will travel between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Muskoka Airport twice each week on Thursdays and Mondays from June 27th to September 3rd of 2019.
Don't live in Toronto? Not to worry! Travellers from outside of the GTA will be able to take advantage of Porter's numerous connecting flights via Toronto. Porter's flexible flight schedule ensures that nearly all North Americans from various Porter destinations across the continent have the opportunity to vacate their hectic lives in the Muskokas.
The schedule is as follows:
President and CEO of Porter Airlines, Robert Deluce, said in a press release, "Muskoka is an inspiring destination that attracts travellers from near and far. This new route serves as a great opportunity to link Muskoka to our North American network."
Explorers' Edge, a regional tourism agency funded by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, is one of the crucial partnerships that facilitate Porter's summer service to the Muskoka region.
Explorers' Edge will launch a seasonal shuttle bus service at Muskoka Airport to transport Porter passengers to their accommodations around the area. The organization also plans to promote a special deal for travellers who book both their flights and accommodations. Currently, tourists can receive $100 CDN in spending vouchers.
Flights are currently available for booking on Porter's website and through travel agents. For the complete schedule and booking details, visit www.flyporter.com.
