TTC spokesperson Stuart Green confirmed to Narcity that the incident took place on July 5 around Lawrence Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue in Scarborough.

The company first became aware of the situation after the driver reported that he had been assaulted by a passenger who had spat on him.

"As is standard practice, we are investigating and encourage anyone who witnessed it to share their information with us," Green told Narcity.

In the video, the driver can be seen attempting to punch a man wearing a white t-shirt.

The video is being filmed from inside the bus, which appears to be parked on the nearby road.

The TTC employee eventually pushes the man down to the ground, where he then repeatedly punches him.

The video ends with two women attempting to coax the driver away from the other man.

It is still unclear if the driver will be charged.

However, this isn't the first time that an incident has occurred between a passenger and a TTC employee.

Back in February, Toronto Police we investigating a fight that broke out between a passenger and a TTC fare inspector.

In the 12-second clip, the passenger can be seen punching the inspector, as another employee attempts to hit him with pepper spray.

The dispute occurred after the officer asked to see the suspect's proof of payment.
