A Woman Keeps Stealing People's Cars And Belongings From Toronto Hospitals
Toronto Police are searching for a woman who keeps breaking into hospital employee lockers and stealing vehicles.
Toronto Police are searching for a woman who keeps breaking into hospital employee lockers and stealing vehicles. According to police, an unidentified woman walked into North York General Hospital’s employee locker common area last Thursday at around 6:30 in the morning. The woman is now sought in a theft investigation at multiple Toronto hospitals.
Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook told reporters this morning, “The woman removed several items of property, including a set of vehicle keys.” The thief then left hospital premises, using the keys she had just stolen to locate the related vehicle, and drove away inside the stolen car.
A similar theft occurred at Humber River Hospital just hours earlier that day and was recorded on the hospital’s security camera system. Douglas-Cook has reported that investigators believe in both cases of theft, the same woman is implicated.
Police have since released security camera images of the suspect, and are soliciting assistance from the public in order to determine her identity. Toronto Police provided two photos of the female suspect in their news release.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to call police at 416-808-3300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
