Pizza Pizza Just Added Plant-Based & Vegan Toppings To Their Menu In Canada
Pizza Pizza is going plant-based.
Pizza Pizza is going plant-based with brand new toppings and cheese options on their menu in Canada. Pizza Pizza plant-based protein toppings are among the chain's latest offerings, as well as vegan cheese and the all-new Super Plant Pizza. The chain announced all the details on Monday in a press release.
The Super Plant Pizza is "the first plant-based protein topping recipe" on the chain's menu. The pizza features homestyle Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, topped with plant-based pepperoni and plant-based chorizo crumble.
You can also substitute the cheese on this pizza - or any pizza on their menu - with dairy-free, vegan cheese. You can also get it on a cauliflower crust.
Pizza Pizza has added both the plant-based pepperoni and the chorizo sausage as meatless protein toppings on their menu. You can add these toppings to any pizza and customize it the way you like.
Pizza Pizza's plant-based proteins are made through a partnership with Yves Veggie Cuisine and Field Roast Grain Meat Co., owned by Greenleaf Foods, SPC. Anyone who eats plant-based protein on the regular is likely familiar with these brands already.
Here's what The Super Plant Pizza looks like:
A few months ago, Pizza Pizza addedslices to their menu for a limited time, which they called Avocado Fries. Pizza Pizza clearly knows what's trendy, and their meat-free innovations will likely keep them ahead of the curve.
