An Ex-Hockey Superstar Is Now Working At Tim Hortons & It Doesn't Get More Canadian

Ex-NHL superstar, Donald Brashear, was revealed to be a man of many talents this week, as the ex Montreal Canadiens player has now landed himself a new job in his local Tim Hortons. After becoming a millionaire hockey player between 1993 and 2009, Brashear is reportedly now working in a Quebec City Tim Hortons, meaning he probably has the most Canadian resume, like, ever!
Several customers are believed to have recognized the former NHL enforcer at Tim Hortons this week, sharing photos of the Canadian sports star serving their drinks and smiling at a drive-thru. According to a report from the Journal de Québec, Brashear is helping out an old friend at the restaurant, who also happens to be a former NHL player.
The franchise is said to be owned by Pierre Sévigny, who is also a former NHL player, and who also had a stint at the Montreal Canadiens. Sévigny told the Journal de Québec, that he’d simply hired Brashear to help him out.
Sévigny explained, “He’s an employee, that’s all. We have just started, he is here to help me.” He added, “We’ll take it one day at a time.”
Although he was born in the United States, Brashear grew up in Val-Bélair, not too far from Quebec City. Playing for several notable teams throughout his NHL career, Brashear had participated in more than 1,000 games by the time he retired, leaving the sport with millions of dollars in 2010.
Shortly after his retirement from NHL, Brashear became entangled in some legal and financial problems, getting arrested for an assault in 2011.
Earlier this year, the 47-year-old appeared in court in Quebec City, facing charges of mischief and cocaine possession.
