With provinces easing restrictions, businesses are allowed to let shoppers in again. The Sephora Canada reopening is happening but stores will be a little different. Now, when you go in, you won't be able to test products anymore.

Sephora Canada told Narcity that there are plans for reopening and stores are going to allow in-person shopping by the end of the month.

With the plans, a bunch of new measures have been put in place to make sure the shopping experience is safe but still supportive.

In all Canadian stores, testers are now for display only.

So if you want to figure out the perfect shade of lipstick on your hand, you won't be able to.

Some stores have even removed displays altogether to be in line with public health measures.

The beauty retailer believes that not having testers will protect the safety of customers and employees.

In-store services are also suspended until further notice, but you can still get help.

There will be Beauty Advisor assistance and virtual tools like a Virtual Artist to help you choose products that are right for you.

"Since the beginning of this pandemic, the health and safety of our team members, clients and beauty community [have] been our top priority. This will continue to be our primary focus as we reopen our doors," said Gregory Bruyer, general manager of Sephora Canada, in a news release.

Other safety measures include proper distancing and capacity limits in all stores.

Aisles will also be one-way only.

Before a store reopens, there will be deep cleaning and employees will be constantly cleaning throughout the day when customers can finally shop in-store again.

All employees will be wearing face coverings and get their temperatures taken.

Depending on local guidelines, masks may be mandatory for you to enter the store.

"We have taken great care in our reopening strategy, implementing a measured and phased approach to ensure a slow yet safe return to our stores," said Bruyer.

Sephora stores in Ontario will be the first to reopen on May 22.

More stores in the province will let in customers on May 27.

After that, some locations will reopen on May 29 in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Quebec.

The details of exactly which stores will be opening in those provinces were laid out in a recent Sephora blog post.
