Earlier this week on May 20, 2019, a woman in Saskatchewan was attacked while visiting a playground with her 10-year-old daughter. A video of the attack was obtained by CTV.

In the video, you can see that the woman is beaten to the ground by four kids at a park, Pleasant Hill Park. The victim in the video has been identified as Bonnie Halcrow. During the altercation, you can hear the kids laughing as Halcrow tries to protect herself. Eventually, she is able to pick herself up and walk away.

"I have PTSD so when you've been attacked, you have that fight-or-flight instinct, and you have two choices," Halcrow explained.

According to Halcrow, she initially confronted the boys when they were harassing a man pushing a fridge on a trolley in the area. The boys then realized that she was recording and began to attack her.

Halcrow walked away from the attack with minor injuries including some scrapes and bruises on her back.

The video was captured by a man who later informed the police that he was at Pleasant Hill Park reading a book on Monday evening when the incident occurred. That man told CTV that the kids were allegedly throwing rocks at people walking by.

Following the video, local police launched a formal investigation into the incident.

Since the incident, a 13-year-old girl has been charged, according to a news release from the Saskatoon police, with assault in connection to two incidents at the Pleasant Hill Park.

The first incident took place on the evening of May 13, when a 10-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl reported being assaulted by a group of young people.

The second incident was the altercation caught on camera on May 20, 2019. According to police, both incidents took place in the evening at around 7 PM.

According to the Saskatoon police, a number of other youth involved in the attack have been identified, but because they are under 12-years-old, there will be no charges laid.
