Starting tomorrow, Canada will officially be transported into the world of National Treasure as Gold Hunt kicks off their national treasure hunt. The Candian company has announced that they have hidden three treasure chests around Canada, each of which contains $100,000 worth of gold and silver. One of these treasure chests could be all yours... if you're able to find it first.
The Candian company, Gold Hunt, claims that they have buried three separate treasure chests around Canada, each one containing $100,000 worth of gold and silver. Just like a real pirate, Canadians will be able to solve clues and test their map reading skills in order to be the first to dig up the prize.
The chests are buried in three separate locations, one is in Edmonton, another is in Calgary, and the final one is in Vancouver. The official hunt for these chests begins tomorrow and all you need is Gold Hunt's official map to find them.
The founders of Gold Hunt are a group of passionate puzzle solvers who just want to change somebody's life. They are throwing the hunt to allow people all over the nation discover the love of puzzle solving, and maybe even find a loaded treasure chest.
If you want to participate in the hunt that starts tomorrow, you have to buy one of the treasure maps that Gold Hunt is selling. There are two maps that you can choose from. The basic treasure map for the city of your choice will cost you $35. The map will be sent to you at 12:01 AM on June 1 and will include a poem with a series of riddles and messages that will help you find where the treasure is buried.
The second map is a 'bonus map' that can be purchased for $55. This map will give the participant an extra five clues that will help them get ahead of the pack and solve the riddles quicker. Yet, Gold Hunt assures that no matter which map you choose, it will still lead you to the treasure.
You can purchase the maps here.
However, there are only a limited amount of maps that the company is selling for the three separate treasure hunts. Gold Hunt told the Calgary Star that they are limiting the number of people who are participating in an attempts to reduce the number of holes that hunters will dig across the city.
Gold Hunt states that if this hunt is successful, they want to continue to the event all across Canada. They also told the Star that the investors behind the treasure hunt want to give away $1 million over the next three years.
So grab a shovel and start digging! The hunt begins in less than 24 hours!
